OBJECTIVE:
Provide a conference room AV control system for small to large rooms. Room requirements vary, but may include room scheduling, occupancy sensor, lighting/shade control, wireless presentation, display control, audio control, and AV inputs and outputs.
Primary Issues to Resolve
Room Scheduling
SOLUTION - Room scheduling is designed to provide information on the current status of meeting spaces as well as upcoming events. Communications with popular calendar services are centrally managed as opposed to each endpoint, for greater efficiency. Currently supported calendar integration for Google Workspace, Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange.
Occupancy Sensor
SOLUTION - Using a multi-function sensor the system can detect occupancy, temperature, and ambient light level. This sensor allows the system to power on devices, activate lights or shades, and adjust temperature.
Wireless Presentation
SOLUTION - Wireless presentation hubs allow users to present content from any device wirelessly and effortlessly. There is no need for an app as the hub utilizes built in software on end user’s devices such as Miracast, Google Cast, or AirPlay.
AV Control
SOLUTION - Touch screens for centralized control of displays, video inputs/outputs, and audio inputs/outputs is a must in BYOD environments. Conference rooms are utilized by employees and guests making straightforward and simple control vital.
Results
Conference room A/V control can be a pain point if each piece of equipment functions independently. Adding a centralized control system removes the hassle of independent control. Control systems can communicate with A/V equipment via network or analog protocols making compatibility with old and new equipment possible.
Just one example of how VCT can work for you.
