Primary Issues to Resolve
Loss Prevention – In nearly every business, theft of money or product is one of the major losses of profit, from either customers or internal staff. Our client is visited each day by a large number of school children and the staff is not particularly consistent day to day, thus a way is needed to monitor the entire facility.
SOLUTION - Video Surveillance: We engaged the client/situation by walking the interior and exterior of the property and reviewing how business is conducted as well as what the owner desired. After evaluation, we installed 3 video cameras, 1 at the front of the facility, 1 at the rear and 1 in the transaction area. We provided access to this video both on a cellular device and on a computer monitor. Now amazingly easy to review who's coming and going and how daily transactions are handled. Clear and dependable footage is available in an instant.
After-Hours Security – The burglar alarm had not been operable for a number of years and was more or less a facade system rather than an active monitoring system. While not a high crime area, our client is in an area where it would be an easy target for vandals.
SOLUTION - VCT Burglar Alarm and Service: In addition to the video surveillance, we also strongly suggested a burglar alarm, as it would provide a second level of protection and deterrence. We proposed and provided a solution for the entire facility and secured both the front door and rear/delivery door. The solution is controlled by the owner either from on the premises or via a phone app. He directs where to call in case of an emergency and we programmed accordingly.
Our goal when we first engaged with our client, was to evaluate and improve security and safety. We did a thorough walk through, proposed a solution that not only met, but exceeded the need and implemented the plan. Client today is much happier; loss prevention is under control and the environment is much safer. In the process, we also improved their customer service experience as we are only a phone call away, without a hold time. Overall, we helped their business run more efficiently and allowed them to do what they do best, create and sell great tasting frozen treats and food.
