House of Worship
OBJECTIVE:
Until recently Houses of Worship were not designed or built to accommodate technology. Public address systems were the extent of technology but upgrading, replacing or expanding the systems proved difficult due to the intricate architecture of the facility. We pride ourselves on solutions that meet the needs of customers, but also on installations that consider the aesthetics of the surroundings. There are several ways we can provide solutions for a House of Worship.
Primary Issues to Resolve
System assessment to determine equipment upgrade/replacement vs reconfiguration.
SOLUTION - Most Houses of Worship use volunteers to operate the AV systems, so keeping the systems current with EQ and balance can be difficult. Often a VCT technician can adjust the current system to achieve better sound quality or suggest a new piece of equipment, if needed.
Existing analog PA system was failing, but the location of existing equipment and wiring was not where the customer wanted it to be.
SOLUTION - Digital console and digital stage box allowed VCT to use existing wiring but relocate the console to a new location. Digital consoles and stage boxes communicate over Category 6 cable, so no need to replace or relocate multi-pair audio cables.
Auditorium is a challenge acoustically. High ceilings, tile floors, stained glass windows, wood pews, and a balcony.
SOLUTION - VCT was able to equalize the room using the customer's existing equipment. Step 1 was to EQ and balance the house speakers. Step 2 was to EQ individual mics and instruments. Each pastor was able to spend time with a VCT technician to EQ a dedicated wireless mic.
Results
Customer is now completely migrated to the new system. Just another powerful example of leveraging Vision as your IT resource.
