Classroom Sound Reinforcement
OBJECTIVE:
With the many educational tools and variety of equipment available, it is often difficult to manage what is just the right volume for each piece of equipment. One machine is way too laoud while the other is way to soft. VCT was called on to provide K-12 an all-in-one classroom sound reinforcement system from Lightspeed.
Primary Issues to Resolve
In ceiling recessed speakers are needed for dispersion of audio throughout classroom.
SOLUTION - Lightspeed recessed speakers are easily installed in drop ceiling or via pendant kits for open ceiling. The 30 watt speakers provide broad coverage in a room without creating hot sound areas.
Mixer/Amplifier with input priority is required for multiple audio devices and to allow overhead pages priority over in classroom audio.
SOLUTION - Lightspeeds mixer/amp is equipped with 3 audio inputs (two 3.5m and one optical). The amp also comes with a page first induction loop that senses an active page and turns down the in classroom audio.
Wireless microphones for teachers and students.
SOLUTION - Options for wireless mics include pendant worn for teachers/students or traditional handheld mics. Lapel and head worn accessories are also available.
Results
Lightspeed systems can be customized to meet each teacher or classroom needs. The easy to use mixer/amp allows the teacher to control inputs and volume of each device.
