businesses. Just one IPK II platform meets numerous line sizes and protects
the original investment. The basic Elite IPK II CPU configuration supports 64
ports. Growth up to 456 ports is easily accomplished with the addition of a
single Port Key Upgrade (PKU) chip.

The Elite IPK II is About Choice
The IPK II is truly a single processor solution that deploys
traditional circuit switching and IP on the same CPU. This means the choice
and timing of IP migration is easily left to the customer.
The IPK II CPU comes equipped to support up to 256 IP phones.
IP Telephones support the same feature set as the TDM telephones, making for
a seamless and consistent user experience.
It’s About Migration
Over 100,000 Electra Elite 48/192 and IPK systems have been installed
since 1998. The modular design of these systems makes migration to the IPK II
very affordable. With minimal effort, as outlined below, customers can experience
expanded applications and growth to 456 ports.
- Elite IPK customers are upgraded to an IPK II with a new CPU. All telephones
and most interface cards migrate.
- Elite 192 customers are upgraded to an IPK II with a new CPU. All telephones
and most interface cards migrate.
- Elite 48 customers are upgraded to an IPK II with a new KSU including a
CPU. All telephones and most interface cards migrate.
The IPK II expansion to 456 ports includes support for 256 IP
phones. A new Hotel/Motel feature set provides new market opportunities. The
on-board CPU supports applications including ACD, voice mail, and remote system
access, which minimizes start-up and support costs
