NEAX 2000 IPS WIRED FOR WIRELESS SOLUTION
Communication for today's mobile workforce
Employees need not be out of touch just because they have stepped away from their desks. With NEC's NEAX® 2000 IPS WIRED FOR WIRELESS option, they can take their office phone with them. The call is answered on the first attempt even if the employee is in the warehouse, walking between buildings, on campus, or in a conference room. The caller does not waste time with telephone tag or to rely upon an often-unreliable overhead paging system. For many organizations, missed calls are missed opportunities. With NEC's WIRED FOR WIRELESS, you can leave your desk without fear of missing critical calls.
Proven System
NEC's system uses one of the most advanced proven personal communications systems in the world: Personal Handyphone System (PHS). With over 7 million users worldwide, it's a global industry leader.
The wireless handset offers portability, clear digital signal quality and has many of the same features of a desktop phone with easy access through a user-friendly soft key menu. Weighs 3.7 oz. with 6 hours of continuous talk time and 500 hours on standby, the Dterm® PSIII phone has been uniquely designed for people on the run.

Two wireless specific interface cards are needed:
- The zone transceiver line card (CSIA) is a single slot card supporting up to two zone transceiver circuits. Each circuit on this interface utilizes an adapted ISDN basic rate protocol between the line card and the zone transceiver. The interface can also provide -48VDC power for the zone transceiver, eliminating the need for local power at the zone transceiver location.
- The zone transceiver interface handler card (CSH AP), which supports the system D-channel processing for up to four CSIA cards.
